Camouflaged and eclipsed, concealed yet overt; ‘The Mute Façade’ documents details in
the everyday built environment that more than often go unnoticed by the common eye. These
images aim to draw attention to the colours, textures and compositions of superficial,
unremarkable details in urban architecture, highlighting their quiet, innate beauty.

‘The Mute Façade’ is a photographic documentation of details in the urban environment that
usually go unnoticed. Based in the city of Brighton, the project is a thoughtful exploration
into texture, colour and composition in the everyday. All photographs featured throughout the
publication are labelled with a postcode to mark the exact location where the image was taken.
